I would like to know if the book of Enoch false or is it of God.

Answer:

One of the ways the early church fathers tested Old Testament scripture to see if it should be “canonized” or part of the Holy Bible was to see if it was mentioned or referred to by Christ or His disciples. Books like Isaiah, Ezekiel, Psalms, Genesis, Exodus, etc are quoted often.

With that said, it is interesting that the Enoch we know from Genesis chapter 5  had prophecy and writings that are mentioned in the book of Jude:

Jude 1:14  And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

So the book of Enoch did meet this one critical test although the early church fathers did not see to include it.

I believe that the book of Enoch (from what I read and studied) is probably very Godly in nature but is it the infallible Word of God?  If the early church fathers did not believe so then I could not put my full trust in it like the rest of the Bible.

Hope that helps answer your questions,
