Are women supposed to cover their head or hair?

Answer:
1 Corinthians 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

1 Cor 11:7. The meaning is, that the retiring and modest demeanor, appropriate to the character and station of woman, is not required of man.

In Bible times it was considered prideful for a woman to show her hair in public. I guess it must have been like wearing a skimpy dress today, it wasn’t considered modest or humble to have their head or hair uncovered much like showing too much skin is considered wrong today (although many Christian women probably need to cover a little more of themselves sometimes. Today, we can apply that to anything we do in dress we should do it modestly and not bring too much attention to ourselves.
