Well I must admit you have me on this one. I know all the Bible is true and inerrant, so how do we reconcile the fact that this is true and yet we know sometimes very good (righteous Believers) people do die tragic deaths at an early age…
I do not have an answer so I prayed about it and I believe that this is what the Holy Spirit is putting in my heart…
The promise is true and is for the majority of those who will honor Godly parents…however there are those who will be an exception to this blessings, but it does not mean they were not righteous or God fearing…

He traded earthly blessings for Heavenly blessings…Philippians 2:5-9 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
I believe those whose lives ended early but yet carried out God’s commands will find their blessings in Heaven to far outweigh the blessings they would have received here. It doesn’t all make sense now, but someday in Heaven it will and we will say “yes, all of God’s words were true”.
