Yes, I believe you can stray far enough from God that you lose your salvation…not because Jesus takes it back but because the person rejects gift.
The good news is, Jesus will take you back! The verses below are a direct teaching of Jesus and it is clear the prodigal son was an example of someone who wandered far from home and his Father (like someone backsliding and wandering away from his Heavenly Father)…
