If God told a person that he is still with them, does it mean that he has forgiven a person of all their sins?

Answer:

There are two conditions for God forgiving sin:

1. Ask Him to forgive you!
2. Repent from those sins – do your best to walk away from those things and not keep doing them.

It doesn’t mean that we will never fail again or slip up – what it does mean is that everyday I will try a little bit harder than I did the day before and try and be a little bit more like Christ.

That is what the verse tells us:  Luke 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

If we have to take up our cross daily, then it means things are never going to be easy…but with Christ’s help we will get through each day.

So, to answer your question I will leave you with the words of Jesus:

Hebrews 13:5  …for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
