I am wanting to know how Matthew 21:12 when Jesus came into the temple he fought, healed, and cleansed the temple, how does that affect our temple when Jesus comes in.

Answer:
I believe God gave you specific insight into this verse because you are right, but not many people understand this. Today, we are the temple of God.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Jesus is the same as He was when He cleansed the original temple…

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Today, He still promised to fight for us and be an advocate for us in Heaven. He promised to be our Redeemer and Sanctifier, and He promised us healing.

It is our job to keep our hearts pure and right before God, open to Him and what He wants to do in our lives. Remember, the Pharisees did not want Jesus to come into the temple because they were controlling and fearful…however the lepers and sinners were open to Someone who could cleanse them and heal them. They were humble enough to receive Christ, and those who seek God today with a humble and contrite heart need not fear Him but welcome Him to come in.

Remember, the same one who inspired all scripture (the Holy Spirit) still speaks to us today as we read those scriptures. Keep getting into the Word and praying for insights and I know you will get many more things like this revealed to you!

Thanks
