If a widowed Christian man marries a divorced woman, is he committing adultery? If yes, does he have to leave that divorced woman in order to stop committing adultery?

Legalistically, you could say he remains in adultery even asking for forgiveness since he is still married to a divorced woman. This is what the Pharisees would say.

However it is written:  1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover a multitude of sins.

If the couple who is now married is serving Christ and He is the center of their home, then I do not believe Christ would want that woman put away. It would serve no purpose other than to serve those who want to be legalistic, and they were the ones Jesus denounced the most.

I am not condoning someone to go out and get in the situation you describe, but for those who are…all I can say is if Jesus can touch the leper and make them clean, touch the blind and make them see, then He can touch this marriage and make it whole and perfect in His sight!

I know His grace is greater than any situation, for it is written:

Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound
